So you're saying wrap it in technobabble? That's not exactly making things better. In fact, technobabble IMHO makes it worse.

But will Sony actually release a Brack Friday Bunduru? I mean those guys are notorious for being very self-aware and in tune with pop culture.
He's using N4G as an example of the hotbed of fanboy console wars that's happening across the Internet. He could've said Kotaku commenters, and it would've still been appropriate.
You do know that they're not developing this themselves, right? That they got Obsidian to do it?
And so your watch begins...
Seriously? Wow, I'm old enough to have gotten the reference, but I'm pretty sure we let go of the Betamax in the early 90's, and the VHS by Y2K.
The only time I've needed a PC to fix another PC is when my dad nearly killed his boot drive with malware, and the only way to clean it was to slave it to my own rig so I could run my anti-malware tools.
So what's the difference — aside from size — between the Overkill Device and the Sonic Screwdriver? Bear in mind that MCU officially has alien tech floating around, so you can't just say "because Aliens". For all we know, the OD is based off of Chitauri/Dark Elf tech.

When did ANYONE EVER have to [upgrade every year and a half]?
Most PC games don't even need any sort of fiddling with a minimum $600 gaming PC. The only time you'd need to fiddle is if you're trying to run Crysis 3 on mummy's $300 netbook, or you bought anything that used integrated graphics processing.
And yet, across the pond, people have accepted the fact that a little sonic gadget can not only unlock doors, it can pretty much manipulate any form of electronics.
A real life Batman would be dead within a month.
Maybe if DC stopped making shitty non-Batman superhero movies. Hell, even Nolan's Batflicks lost steam by the last one. I mean seriously, you had to forgive a lot in that film, and I'm not even talking about Bane's whitewashing into a bald, asthmatic Sean Connery. That was actually one of its more fun, campy moments.
She was a decent Oracle too.
The console is a sleek, easily portable (!), wonderfully quiet slab
