You’d be charged with assault, might have your ass handed to you, and possibly sued.

This is a much nicer version of the story of the growth in ultramarathons than the one in my head: borderline sociopathic overachievers doing the most impressive sounding thing that still makes it clear they have a lot of money and time to blow. That story might be lurking in this one, too.
The scariest ride for me is the ferris wheel. Something about it going very high very slowly just scared me more than anything else.
Is anyone else sick. of. weaves. and wigs? Sure they have gotten a lot better in recent years (and yes I am overthinking it) but I’m so tired of this aesthetic based on the premise that women’s actual bodies are not acceptable. Do we really need to be insecure about the quantity and length of hairs on our head?
it’s the concept of “American exceptionalism” and narcissism run amok. Even though I hate-watched 90% of the Newsroom, I still feel like that monologue from the first show about how decidedly not great and exceptional America is in so many ways is like a Rosetta stone for progressives (and all Americans for that…
I’m about 20 minutes south along Belair Rd. I have many friends in your neck of the woods who are liberal but say they’re surrounded by conservatives, the types who just start blathering on with strangers about how great Trump is without first asking if that type of talk would piss them off. That must be depressing to…
I would love to meet with you at the Starbucks on Belair Rd and have a chat about the greatness of Baltimore Co. After hearing ALL the butthurt from the fans last year after the first game (the mournful sadness and outrage shown on Facebook that players would dare to kneel during the National Anthem without…
And you should come back! It’s really a nice place to live. And even BalCo has plenty of nice places. You could live in Catonsville! Rosedale is cute! Towson is annoying but tolerable!
I’ll have you know the Cecil County MAGAs are the third best team (out of 3) in the local 30+ softball beer league. They are “Hogan Stong,” as the saying goes, meaning they do just enough to look like a decent team, but never do anything controversial knowing they would be vetoed by the party in power. They’re…
No, I said it! I said it! He got cancer, and we all rooted for him (even I did, being all bi-partisan and decent and such)! And then he got better and, like, the NEXT DAY, he goes out and says some cowardly stuff about not wanting to accept refugees because he’s suddenly worried about the quality of our multi-year…
Baltimore: Donnie.
The City of Baltimore is fine. The problem with the Ravens is not the City. I mean, parts of it are dangerous, but much of it is fine. The Inner Harbor is at least clean, if boring. Fell’s Point is great on any non-weekend-night. Hampden is cool. McHenry Row is neat. A lot of these neighborhoods are fun (and…
i’m floored. i wasn’t prepared for that many twists
Franklin Square in Philly has replicas of Philly landmarks (Independence Hall, Old City, the Art Museum, Liberty Bell, etc.) plus a hole where you hit the ball into a replica creek, and the creek *dumps the ball onto the green*.
Oh that horror one sounds great! But you would have to have the right company. In response to your question I don’t remember any of the names but have had a lot of fun playing in Ocean City, MD.
Most indoor mini golf sucks. It’s a flat floor and you have less space. So you’re hitting a boring course with the holes all wedged together, which means all the other people are wedged together. And most of them blast music, so you can barely talk. Yet they rarely let you drink.
This looks dreadful but I’m here for it because I have a soft spot for bad movies and a wet spot for Jason Statham. Will catch on DVD eventually with some cola bottle weed gummies and a big bag of Maltesers.
Just a reminder; Peter Benchley, the author of Jaws, felt so bad about the fact that his book (but mainly the movie) played such a large role in the subsequent animus towards sharks and the subsequent hunting/killing of them, that he devoted the rest of his life in philanthropic efforts to save them
