Sort of as an aside, in a TV episode of "Behind the Screams," it was said that the real-life person that the Psycho movie was based on, Ed Gein, had a brother and the brother died while in the presence of the psycho killer under mysterious circumstances. It's maybe not what inspired the writers to add a brother to

Otherworldly, yes, that's a good way of putting it. Like her face transformed.

Yeah, it looked like Alex doing so to Norman.

I thought some of the beginning scenes were foreseeable, even predictable, but I was surprised that at dinner Norman already revealed the depth of his insanity and mental illness to the man he prefers to call "Sheriff" and not a new dad. Norman said he knows how to make the world see him as someone normal. But,

I think you're right.

Norman's dressed like him, too, ever since he returned home, especially that jacket. Reminds me of Anthony Perkins.

I had seen an interview some time ago where Freddie Highmore said he watches Psycho before each season's shooting. I wonder if he still does that — I think he does.

I was scared for Alex during that scene, but I kind of think Norman has to turn into Norma first before he kills.

That's how it happened in the Psycho movie. I think the sheriff's wife said they were found dead, in bed. And then the psychiatrist discovered it was the Norma in Norman's mind that was responsible for the death.

This is such a good show. The tragedy, it's like watching a train wreck. Norman went from the confines of Pineview and not even being allowed to wear a belt there to being unrestrained at home, manipulative, and intending to break up Norma and Romero's marriage. Dylan's going to discover more facts surrounding

Yes that was chilling.
I can't help recalling how much Norman has changed since season 1, even during his stay at Pineview. He so manipulated Norma and Dr. Edwards. It's like something in him clicked when he discovered Norma surreptitiously got hitched.

I saw the promos for The Returned and thought it would be interesting, but I felt the same way you did with the premiere. I could not get into that show.
