Hmm maybe you did. I've never had an AV Club account, only FB and Disqus.

Hey Superbat, I do believe the drug aspect of Riverdale works better than in Bates Motel. It seems the writers put more thought into it or had more input. I feel like with Bates Motel, the drug subplot was a filler story making viewers bide time until the real stories for which they made the series came around.
Thank you for the great summary and for relating it to Bates Motel!
Hey SuperBat! I'm sorry I just got your message.
Thank you for asking. I didn't have much to contribute. I watched the penultimate episode and haven't fully watched the finale but I still have it on my DVR, so I'm going to watch it for sure.
Same here, it's been such fun! I like your take on things too. Have a great day/evening. :)
Thank you!
It's been great chatting with you about Bates Motel!
I see we've taken the number of comments to over 400 here. That's the first time I've seen that. :)
Romero was the best person he could be when he opened up to Norma in season 4. I felt like in season 5, he had a one-track mind, though. All he wanted was revenge, well until towards the very end of his life when he came across Norma's body. I'm rather glad that Emma and Dylan got together so that at least a couple…
I'm so glad it worked! Yes it looks like I'm starting at an interesting point in the season. Thank you for the great synopsis!
Thank you for the synopsis on Riverdale. I'm recording the next episode and can keep everything you said about it in mind. I rather like period piece-type shows, too. I used to read the Archie comic books, so I'm interested to see these characters, even though they've changed so much from the book.
Yeah I would have never wanted to just watch the first 4 seasons and skip season 5 and watch the movie. I think people miss a lot of the character development when they do that, not just of Norman but also Dylan, and Emma. Maybe not Romero, but it's interesting that Romero in season 5 kind of snapped Norman back to…
I thought the reunion scene was ambiguous as to whether they were in heaven or that was all in his head. It's interesting that they put Norma/Vera in all white. She looked like an angel.
My mistake on thinking Dylan lived in Scottsdale. Thank you for clicking back to the pilot episode. I don't remember any of them being from Scottsdale. Someday I think I'll get the DVD for season 1, to see again how much he's changed.
Oh, a meat tenderizer! Thank you for that tidbit.
Great points about the difference in the situations between Miss Watson and Cody. I don't know how I could forget Mother would turn up when he's under stress.
My other message was a short one but it remains thus far from yesterday. So I'm going to try something. Hope you don't mind. :)
No it's a good idea to put that list of films. I'll be on the lookout for those movies.
omg not again :( . I didn't edit this time, I swear! Maybe if I start a new thread it'll be okay. I don't know what else to do. For some reason, I've never had a problem so far if I start a new thread. See you there! :D
Thank you. Yeah, I hadn't given the show much thought; I guess I got tired of watching them fight, but clearly it's about much more than that. :D
Yes you're right there. I agree.
There were other times, well most of season 5, when he believed she was still alive, and I'm wondering if he sometimes thought that the body he was carrying was Norma just faking her death? If so, how can he think the body he was carrying was Mother being alive, while at the same…
Just wondering, what is it about Feud you liked so much? I tried to get into it, but I guess it's not my type of show. I could count on one hand the scenes I enjoyed watching. I mean, to each his own, but maybe I'm missing something.
