Although I agree the Eden character / "this ridiculous Werner-surrogacy plot" doesn't work, unfortunately I can no longer hate on it too much - because without it we wouldn't have gotten the world's most super AWESOME nursery ever!

I actually thought the writers were doing a little meta-callback when they had Quarles out Limehouse on his psycho-butcher act: "oooh, so scary that you always hold meets in the slaughterhouse where it smells like blood and you get to hold a big knife…"

but then again, it's not as if the men in this show are portrayed as saints or paragons of morality

I honestly don't see what the problem is with the 2nd issue you raised (talking about how Norbert / Roscoe / etc. are absent in any particular week).  Honestly not trying to snark or troll.  I have zero background in film/TV criticism or theory, just trying to understand your point so please help me out here.

I'm a little freaked out by this, and not quite sure what it means or says about me, but _literally_ was leaking tears of happiness by the end of this episode
