I tunnel into my own server for when I need a proxy. However... I do live in the US and I have access to these sites without restriction.... (unless there's an AUP restricting me from doing so)

@Rolcol: Actually first I usually like to zero the unused space so there's better compression.

I like to do my own imaging using a linux live disk.

@Psonar: My school only blocks browsers purely on their User Agent. Going into about:config and changing the user agent to MSIE 7.0 allows me to use Firefox.

@Phoshi: My Wireless worked perfectly out of the box. <3 Intel Chipset.

I did this for my friend 4 days ago, actually. I borrowed his flash drive to add assignments onto. I run linux and I tried both reformatting and zeroing and reformatting... It didn't work. I finally found the removal tool and killed U3. He was happy.

I don't have much luck with it since I don't set the settings right but...

Text messages are great when you only need to send a quick update. I only call when the text message conversation is getting really big or when I'm driving. You can have multiple conversations going at once when text messaging and it's easier to hide it from the teacher during class.

I don't even use IE to get another browser. I have firefox on an FTP server that I connect to with explorer.exe. I never have to touch IE.

@jonadair: Completely agree. I ALWAYS have to include -site:experts-exchange.com when I'm searching for Linux help. I was able to set up a keyword shortcut in FF3 by making it search excluding experts-exchange. Steps I took: 1) Go to [google.com] and right click the search field and select "Add a keyword for this

I usually just clone/image a hard drive with the Live CD of Ubuntu using the dd command.
