@sunnytimes: Can't you just bump the DPI instead of using a smaller resolution?

Compression and encryption.

@LeftClicker: iTunes requires a restart because it also updates the Quicktime framework that the entire operating system uses.

@nfnt: There's a higher profit margin on PC games through Steam. Downloading just requires paying extra for the bandwidth as compared to paying for packaging and shipping.

@bloknayrb: Exploits aren't the same thing as viruses.

@sigurrosuntitled: HTML5 on the Nexus One still outperforms HTML5 on the iPod touch in his benchmark. Agreed that this isn't scientific, though.

@digital_man: All that Iron does is disable the search suggestions by default at compile time.

@Bryan Price: Let me guess: You're running iTunes on Windows? It's not bad on OSX because it shares its libraries with core services. It's lighter on system resources than on Windows.

Yep... This is exactly what Google wanted by bundling Flash with Chrome. This helps keep Chrome at the top of the security list.

@Stymie99: Look for Iron if you want to try Chrome but don't like Google's data collection. Iron is a version of Chromium (the open source project behind Chrome) that has had privacy as its top concern.

@CnEY: You're right but I don't use WYSIWYG editors. I use firebug when I want to see live changes and then copy + paste the changes into the actual HTML file. I didn't have anything else to contribute =\

Vote: Firebug

@eCommArchitect: Have you tried starting with a clean Firefox profile? I've seen Firefox start up fast after doing this.

@Nakko: They're still there when you copy and paste them. Chrome adds the protocol to the link copied when all of it is selected.

VOTE: Ubuntu

@silver-bolt: You had a physical keyboard. I referred to that in my comment. Keyboard allowed easy copy and paste but the people complaining were users without physical keyboards.

@Nakko: It only cuts out http. https, ftp, or any other protocol that is not hypertext transfer protocol is still there.

@ak: Yes, you are missing something here. The Gmail application didn't allow text copying before its 2.2 incarnation. If your phone has a physical keyboard, holding shift allowed you to use the trackball to select the text but the Nexus One has no such keyboard.

I skip an update when the developer has changed the application into a trial or added a date-based lockout in order to buy the "pro" version of an application. This bait-and-switch annoys me.
