Shorter runners lengths give more power at high RPMs, longer lengths give more power at lower RPMs.
I would be OK with a DCT as long as I have a lever in the center console to row. Pull to shift up and push to shift down like god intended. Too many automated manuals have this backwards. I never understood why.
The 1.6 engine is good for 170 horsepower and 184 lb-ft of torque, while the car I’m testing has the larger engine which is pumping out a healthy 300 HP and 295 lb-ft of torque. (There is some bad news coming at the end, I’m afraid.)
