They do, you see. But when internal affairs arrests a bad cop it doesn’t make the news unless there was something particularly prurient about it, so you don’t hear about it.

Fair enough. Personally, I’m a fan, because I identify with sarcastic asshole. It’s my superpower, actually. But mostly I like his writing. He may be a good in the kitchen, but to me he’s a wordsmith. Good turns of phrase do it for me.

Butthurt for why? As a cop, I found the cop's portrayal to not be offensive at all. He didn't fight dirty, didn't shoot him, didn't do anything I would have been ashamed of. In fact, I see it as representative of law enforcement's status in the USA right now. Struggling with how to do their jobs with a criminal…
