I don’t think any of their current writers are qualified to write what you just mentioned. I’m totally cool with examining pop culture since it’s a trash field revealing how people express ideology. It just doesn’t help when the people covering it don’t know how to approach it and end up reinforcing all those -isms. 

Agreed. The reopen of Jezebel is never going to work without hiring at least one writer who has copyediting skills. Sorry, Jez, but your prime audience is aging feminists who grew up on books, not Twitter. We NEED words to be spelled correctly.
