I see sstarkm05's comment and I want to point out that Valve does even worse for CSGO. It is probably a company culture, but compared to CSGO, Dota 2 receives a 1000 times more love from Valve

To be fair, there is too much mainstream media focus on OWL. The popularity of OWL is very high amongst mainstream media. The players are under constant scrutiny and normal gaming vernaculars are taken out of context. The females in OWL articles were just one such example of how biased the scrutiny is.

While it’s true, I wouldn’t classify this as a negative trend. It goes well with the story and just shows that people shouldn’t get too comfortable with the story either.
