I think the casting of Emma Corrin for Cassandra Nova was pointedly to avoid notions of “hot lady”. That’s not to say she’s unattractive, but more to the point of her own gender neutrality, which is kind of perfect for this character. 

That really captures the raw shittiness of mainstream superhero comics in the ‘90s, that sad, desperate Milhouse-like need to be “radical.” If that logo were a human it’d be a jacked-up dude with a mullet, Gargoyles shades, and a leather jacket, chugging a 16-oz. Pepsi Clear.

Don’t read too much into it, beyond David Zaslav’s constant ratfuckery of anything good and decent on Max because he doesn’t want to pay residuals on niche content.He would rather fill the platform with low-cost reality show offal.

Less of the Enterprise bashing , its 3rd and 4th seasons were really good damn it , I’d actually rank it just over Voyager (which when it was good , was great , but had sooo many dud episodes).

I liked this season of Discovery. It was all ridiculous nonsense start to finish but I didn’t care; I jettisoned the cynicism and went for a ride in a comforting familiar sci-fi universe.

It’s hilarious how many commenters are convinced of the “poor storytelling” of a series they can’t possibly have seen yet.

Within my lifetime I’ve seen racism go from something to keep quiet among racist friends to something some people are *proud* of.

Alternatively, this is Disney reacting to the sustained racist/sexist/etc. diatribes that have already been levelled against the show prior to its release, apparently merely for existing.

Guy’s 250+ years old. In that time he’s probably done every thrilling escapade imaginable, injected every drug ever created, and fucked anything that can give consent. At this point life itself is probably boring af for him. If sitting around waiting for Jean gives him some purpose in life, I can’t really judge him.

Logan had a room in the Summer House, which was for the Summers family. His room, Jean’s room, and Scott’s room were all linked without doors. Scott wanted to take Logan on their family vacation because he thought it would be nice to have Logan there with them. Like my guy, they’re a throuple.
