When the lucerne or whatever it was came out, I specifically wrote into buick asking what the heck they were doing for styling it hurt me so much. Those fender side vent/speed holes were the kicker that prompted me to contact them.

The things I saw... even the chassis - the rear subframes would literally just remove themselves from the E36/E46 3 series. My E36 also cost me $$ in engine issues (valve guides ect...). I like the old nsx better than the new one... As a design guy, that front end looks like it has 500lbs of plastic just slapped on it. Just like the other honda front ends. Not good. Way over done.
Cars are always covered after race wrecks if big damage. We always did and seemed like everyone did.
