Only four minutes?

As usual, nice symmetry between comment, avatar, and user name.

1989 was a pretty rough year for the Oscars—take a look at the competition, and then of course the latter day perspective that Driving Miss Daisy? Really? The only good thing I can say about that movie anymore is that it's the first time I ever heard of the Hudson car company, and it let me laugh at a few SNL

The screenplay did get the 1990 Edgar award, so at least that's almost something.

As long as we just call it a "discharge".

Evaluations weren't the only thing going through the roof.

At least he's not working in a coal mine any more. RIP.

Find it interesting that Heller mentions how "Crazy Little Thing Called Love" could be a lost Elvis song. It wasn't until my senior year in high school that my cousin clued me in that it was Queen, not Elvis.

I got in for free and was not disappointed. By either not paying for the movie or the film.

I can't say that I've listened to the song in at least a decade, but I still remember the line "I never thought I'd still be here today". Eighteen year old me found it a bit too true, and 38 year old me has found that life on the road is a pain in the ass.

WDRE…is that Pittsburgh?

Ditto for "The Last". As much as I want to hate All Shook Down, I can't. It's hardly a 'Mats album, but I like it for what it is (and should have been).

You really are "that guy".

Even 1% is too much. The AVClub weeps for you.

Abe Vigoda: Still alive.

Hated Mendenhall Lab. That building can suck it. On the other hand, Go Bucks!

Ewww…

His "the king" (think that's the name of it) is awesome and highly recommended. Nothing like a quasi-modern retelling of the Arthurian legend…

Make sure the ex doesn't know, that kinda helps. And don't broadcast it to all your shared friends (cause you know you have a few). Be smart, go slow, and after a while see how miserable your ex is going to be since you are now going out with her incredibly cute best friend.

That letter just pissed me off, cause I just wanted to punch him for his contradictions. As @avclub-d7f43e1fb2d4977c86163d9b0cb07814:disqus said, "Religion is bullshit but also I don't want to get married in a courthouse."
