Torture porn as an entire genre.  I have a minor appreciation for it when done right (the first Saw) but good fucking grief, gore just for the sake of gore is pointless if it has nothing to do with the story.

It still amazes me that I saw Jaws IV: The Revenge in the theatre.  I might have been 11 and I swear five minutes in I knew what a piece of crap it was.

I had completely forgotten that he was in Lone Star.  I always think of that as the first Sayles film I ever saw, and maybe the first time I thought that Chris Cooper was a terrific actor.  I'm not sure "romantic drama" is what I think of when recalling Lone Star, but it has been 15 years since I saw it.

I knew I recognized him from somewhere (aside from the more popular films that he was asked about).  Every time I read the book his portrayal and appearance seem to be the only one that rings true from the page to the screen.
