Considering the name of the gang Bender joins is called the "Ink Jets" this is awesome.

A mystifying picture for sure, but that Robert Lindsay guy is a whackjob.  I feel I need to scrub my brain for a bit now.

I have no idea how I ever came across Last Orders but it's a great film.  One of the rare instances where the book (by Graham Swift) and the film are not only great by themselves but seem to compliment each other perfectly.

@jason-heller  The Shorty Long you have a link to is not the Shorty Long who did "Here Comes the Judge."  The former puts on a pretty decent show between NJ and VA, the latter has been dead since 1969.

I had actually forgotten all about Basquiat, with good reason.  Aside from Bowie as Warhol I recall nothing about that film that I liked.

Red Storm Rising is the first and last Clancy I will ever read.  My dad read him all the time, and I asked him about the current one (sometime around '97) and he summed it up as "Jack Ryan is now the president 'cause Congress got blown up" or some such idiocy.  I know I made the right call.

@avclub-cfe912f5cb3aa572bd1c9ae2a9b82207:disqus This has nothing to do with Hamlisch, but seeing "The Black Hole" reminded me that I had a pop-up book of the movie.  I was only 4 when it came out but somehow my parents thought it would be a good idea for me to see it.  It was awesome then and while it's kinda crappy
