I should make my sarcasm more obvious but I like to live dangerously.

Right? And even (ahem) some of the commenters.
WOW FUCK YOU ELLIE
Whenever mental illness and violence come up, people become angry that it is an “excuse.” No one has ever said that violence is justified. We have a universal consensus that violence is bad and should result in consequences for the perpetrator. But we still need to discuss mental illness as an underlying cause. Here…
I just want to discuss mental illness apart from crime. People get this idea that mental illness is dangerous to others when it is dangerous to the sufferer the vast majority of the time.
The headline and emphasis of this article gives me....pause. It seems rather obvious that this man’s mental illness is being emphasized because he is Black. What I mean is that Jezebel, because of its difficult history with race (and who and what doesn’t have a difficult history with race in this country?), seems to…
So, how much of this is him having a mental disorder and how much of it is just him being an asshole?
I say keep with the theme of not allowing mental illness (real or suspected) to be used as an excuse for violent behavior. Period. Yes its a black man in this case, and yes its still horrible when this shit is done for white guys that do violence but the solution isn't to broaden the excuse, its to shrink it.
Did he have diabetes? What about his HTN? If we are going to list random medical disorders in the headline for no discernible reason I would like to at least have access to the full medical records.
Fragile manhood syndrome.

I disagree. It wasn’t “nonsensical”; the whole point was that it was unmoored, oneiric dream-logic, and it was way better horror than anything American Horror Story ever pulled off, even in its best seasons. (Yeah, I went there.) And the sound mixing was part and parcel of it. Swear to god, when Will flashed back to…
I still like Hannibal.
That’s pretty much fact at this point.
This is a very good article Mark about very important topics.
I am obsessed with Bub and her human and also his other cat Spooky and his cute new baby and ok so I might look at Bub’s Instagram a little too much.
I wonder if any of those “religious” institutions whined about the 2 page form to be a non-profit religious institution required by the IRS.
Man, I would /love/ to see a Mall Makeovers with nothing but non-white people who also talk about the overall experience and how they were served. The last time I got a makeover (inspired by this series, actually!) the woman doing my face contorted herself nearly into a knot trying to avoid racist language (I’m of…
