Melisandre is going to have hard time with this one!

Cersei Unchained

Cersei's complete obliteration of the Faith and her evolution to full on Darth Cersei was the most badass thing that happened in a season of badass moments.

Yeah, Why was he even going there? I didn't care where he went, his scenes always felt like a drag on the main plots.

Clare's ending worked for me as well, although I never liked the character.

I would almost have preferred the world ending in eternal night to Vanessa just giving up.

Yeah, the more I think about it, the more it doesn't seem like this was originally intended to be the finale. No final showdown between Lupus Dei and Dracula, no real hint of why his Godwolf status was so important, the impromptu plucking of Victor from one storyline and shoving him in another, that new girl joining

Also I never gave a fuck about Clare after he murdered Proteus and then demanded a bride(even though he decided that undead like him experience excruciating pain and are doomed to live as monsters). I ignored all his scenes except the ones with Vanessa, so this made the ending voiceover even more unsatisfying.

Just watch it but don't expect a satisfying ending. The show is like a beautifully written poem, but the bottom part of the page was torn off and eaten by a dog.

I completely agree. I could have sworn they were setting up Hyde to be a major storyline next season as part of the group or a villain. Instead he ended up being an assistant to Viktor in a plot he ended up aborting.

The Jekyll thing made me think there was a set up for next season right up until Vanessa died. So cruel!

Why didn't he go apeshit and kill everyone, or at least try? I mean at least Viktor and the psychiatrist, they should have been easy pickings.

But at least Buffy saved her sister in the process. That was sad yet heroic.

Well they sure put the tragic in ending. They subverted my expectations, but in a very deeply unsatisfying way. Then again this was a dark series from the get go, but Vanessa giving up and dying… yikes!

When the plot depends on the hero being incredibly, preternaturally lucky, that's just bad writing.

Yeah, but he walked through a hail of arrows. He basically is an invulnerable demigod already.

Just some random girls he happened upon most likely.

Yeah, it was a missed opportunity for growth.

Nope! You avenge his death first, then you mourn. This is just order of operations. Also, they probably don't have time for the funeral in this episode.

Yep. The pretzel logic people are going through to explain this seems like a lot more effort than the writers put in to it. i bet the extent of the conversation was, "How can we make a triumphant twist ending?? Surprise Sansa! Petyr and Rohirrim!" "Brilliant!"
