I came to say something similar “if the contract was fulfilled, then the company doesn’t owe you a thing”.
I came to say something similar “if the contract was fulfilled, then the company doesn’t owe you a thing”.
If only he’d kept running serpentine!
How old is she, TWELVE years old?! It’s called a contract. It’s called an ad campaign. Unless the contract went as far as to say they would hold your hand and tuck you in at night, they don’t owe you sh**. Welcome to the (real) world. This site, other sites, lots of sites and magazines and the such around the world hav…
“Have fun!”
“Okay, I’ll give it a shot.”
“No! Don’t shoot anybody!”
It was just a shitty marketing idea and budlight is dead so that is a positive. It also worked out for her because everyone knows her name now and she can keep rolling with the victim grift.
Not to give Mulvaney a hard time; I like her (as much as I can like anyone who calls herself an “influencer”, anyway). But expecting any corporation to behave morally and decently when it might impact profits is pretty risky, and expecting a public corporation to do so is utter fantasy. Boards of directors have only…
i encourage anyone who loves arkin to check out ‘freebie and the bean’ with him and james caan.
Yes! It’s completely absurd yet somehow realistic and always hilarious. The interplay where Arkin knows that Falk is full of crap but just cant seem to nail him down is hilarious.
That, and as Martin Blank’s therapist in Grosse Point Blank.
I have always liked Alan Arkin in anything I’ve seen him in, even if the movie is terrible. I think the film of Catch-22 is one of the worst adaptations of a novel (which shouldn’t have been filmed in the first place), but he’s terrific in it.
He was excellent along with Peter Falk in one of the best movies ever made.
I’ll be honest; I got nervous about a James Mangold Swamp Thing movie back when the early Dial of Destiny reviews first dropped. But I saw Dial of Destiny last night, and it was fine. I walked in expecting an offensive train-wreck of a film, and it wasn’t terrible. It feels like most of the film’s shortcomings, of…
This movie is a hate crime against the bald community.
To be fair, neither did Lynch’s- that was the producers meddling
I thought part 1 was dull and unimaginative and therefore have low expectations for pt. 2. Dennis essentially just upgraded the special effects and copied David Lynch’s version (practically) shot for shot.
Dickson refers to Richard Dickson, the COO of Mattel Corporation. Mattel Films was at odds with Mattel as a whole (aka the toys and where "Dickson" was concerned about the film potentially tarnishing brand integrity) over the script, as they had difficulties understanding the nuance of the delivery until it was…
Found the problem:
the problem with giving her an 8-figure deal is she’s gonna be stuck doing 8-figure deal projects. i think it’ll be quite a while before we see anything ‘real’ from her again.
i am a fan of hers, and therefore i am glad for all of her recent accolades in such high profile projects.
It’s not pressure than causes problems, it’s pressure differences. Any pieces that blew off suddenly had the same pressure on all sides, and no longer had large forces acting on it.
