A lot of the anime, especially Spirited Away, I would like to say are really inspired by Tampopo (1985). Ironically enough, I wanted to say I would love to try anything from Babette’s Feast and Tampopo.

I always felt Donner’s script was pretty economical for this section. Dookie talked about Pa, meanwhile Ma Kent, after the funeral and before he heads north, says “I know” about Clark needing to figure it out for himself... and then gives him that epic “...always remember, son.” Remember where his human side came from.

Most of the anime I have seen have a very detailed depiction of food - I recall salivating during several spots in Summer Wars and episodes in Psycho Pass - but let me go with the classics and wish I could enjoy the dinner in Babette’s Feast.

Huh, I have a hard time imagining Hanks in the role, as Harry is so neurotic and prickly and quippy and [additional qualifier dancing around just describing the character as “Jewish New Yorker”].
