This really is the stuff of dreams, hats off to them

@ash78: It's also a "sister" publication to Auto-Express here in the UK (so we'll propably get the "new" A3 next week) and they are always passing off made-up photoshop jobs as "exclusive first looks" at new cars. Strangely when the new cars do surface they're often quite different from Auto Express/Bild's renderings

They need to make a longer version

If I can afford a hands-free kit (which it is safe and legal to use here) so can he! Wish I could afford a Mercedes 600…

I think they gave up too easily, given how big it is they could have loaded up the roof with solar-cellls and powered it that way

It probably has a warning light that comes on when you start up that says "Is this journey really necessary?"

The TV ad for the C5, which has started airing here, describes it as "unmistakably German (made in France)"

One of the things I like about the styling of this CL is the way the front 'graphic' references the W107 SL/SLC of 70s but then I'm a sucker for family resemblance

I walk past one (not a 4-matic obviously) on the way to work most days and think the design works very well, it's a big car (by European standards anyway) yet still managed to look elegantly athletic

Surely this thing has PCH written all over its rusty arse

I wonder if they make an outfit that matches the car? Does anybody remember the Mel Brooks movie High Anxiety in which the Madeline Kahn (God rest her soul) character Victoria Brisbane pulls up in a plaid Cadillac and gets out of it wearing a matching plaid suit? I'm sure Hermes could work that look

I wonder if that would make me a "woody" GL?

@Rust-MyEnemy: thanks for clearing that up, if I ever do see on in the street I'll try it out

It looks sorta over-inflated, like if you pricked it with a pin it might burst

the Europa hasn't exactly been a roaring success for Lotus, I've yet to see one on the road here in the UK. Still, nice to see they've carried over in inconsistent panel gaps for the SE version

before you get all moist about suicide doors and boxer engines just consider for a moment the majesty of the Maserati 3500GT coupe and imagine the hell-like possibilities as you struggle to return it to original condition. AND it's in Porto!

Given that there is an "international" motor show currently taking place in Melbourne it seems more than co-incidental that BMW should have a new 7 series down there

How about the dark green 1973 HQ Holden Kingswood that my father bought brand new when I was a kid. I can remember so many good times in that car, feel misty eyed just thinking about (can still remember it's number plate!)
