The SD1 is a no-brainer for the discerning devil-worshiper not least because it was built by a disillusioned workforce who actually made sure that the cars fell to bits soon after leaving the factory. I'd replace those ugly round lights with the rectangular UK-spec originals and then start thinking about all of the…
I just watched the SM YouTube clip, it made me cry…
We got 3-door Vauxhall versions of these in NZ and at university a friend had one, the RWD handling was a blast but alas there wasn't enough power available to really hang the tail out
And in its first full year on sale, the Peugeot 207 has become the best selling car in Europe. Between January 2007 and December 2007 they sold 437,505 vehicles, out selling the second placed car, the VW Golf.
@Charles_Barrett: hey Charles don't forget my little A-class and the B-class which are both shorter than the C, though have more interior space. My friend Gideon is 6'7" and regularly travels in my A-class without complaint (well apart from the music I'm playing)
all we need now a version with a bench seat and column shift, hoons of the world unite!
from a urpean perspective, it's hilarious to think of a twin turbo V6 as an eco-option!
@disgustepated: maybe we can park it in the fantasy garage and wait for a few years depreciation to chisel away at that sticker price

As sedan sales slide in Europe (not sure about stateside) it's no surprise that manufacturers are doing their best to reinvent the saloon by making them funkier. Reminds me of the Rover P5 "Coupe" of the 60s
It's a toughie but I think the engine transplant could only make the Lotus more reliable so it has to be the Citroen, viv'le France!
My Merc A-Class rates 20 of your miserable points and whilst I'm happy to accept it's not a great car it does pioneer sandwich construction and uses more of it's total length for passengers and luggage than any other car. Also mine is a clutchless manual which you don't rate but must be worth something. And I can…
I'm sure you could grow a nice crop of tomatos under that rear window
Surely the Pacer is the quintessential malaise-mobile, asymmetric doors make me anxious!
By the looks of the number plates on the cars, an the accent of the voice-over, I'd say this ad was from New Zealand
and when your hedge-fund tanks you can gas yourself in full view of all your neighbors who hate you too much to bother calling anybody
CLC makes me all nostelgic for the SLC of the 70s, given that Mercedes have a car for every niche, including some that don't even exist, surely they could make a 2+2 seat fixed head coupe based on the SLK that would be smaller, lighter and sexier than the CLK…
contrast with the DB7 Zagato which just looks foolish
@eltonito: they can't swap the suicide door over for RHD countries (making it kerbside rather than roadside) because the petrol filler is on that side and it would be too expensive to move. Seems odd that they didn't think of that earlier
