This thing is conservative but uber-cool and could surely find a market beyond its Australian homeland. Here in Urp the 6.0 litre V8 would only sell to rich hoons who could afford the high running costs and weren't fussy about badges but the 3.6 V6 might be slightly more plausible and if the General wanted to get

surely this thing is answering a question nobody asked?

the 850 never made much sense and two cars are always going to be better than one, 750s rule

@Bumblebee: you're right, also it stinks

I saw one of these parked ouside of the Dorchester Hotel (which is owned by the Sultan of Brunei's "playboy" brother) looked very cool because it's soooo long and low, didn't appear to a lot of space in the back though…

A black 1958 Peugeot 403 sedan which was superb but I had to sell it back to the guy I bought it off because he decided he wanted it back after I'd owned it for about 6 months (that was part of the deal)

you guys are getting a bargain, in Aus the Commodore SV6 (the basis of the base model G8) costs US$36,500, the SS (your G8 GT) US$42,00 and here in the UK we pay a cool US$74,400 for the only version of the Commodore available here, the top of the tree HSV GTS which we call a Vauxhall…

It kinda looks like the HQ Holden Monaro which hit the streets in '71.

this is the least surprising news ever. They should have made the Maybach look like an updated MB 600 to give it some serious road presence instead of making it look a S-class that had been on Pimp My Ride

Mine was a '64 MG Midget which leaked so much I had to drill holes in the floor to keep the interior dry. But I still managed to sell it for more than I bought it for

almost brings tears to my eyes are growing up on farm in New Zealand we had a succession of Holdens including several featured in this spot. The last was a green HQ

specs look great but car looks like it needs some anger management

No pics with the roof up = it will look like a baby's pram

Just how big is the market for compact SUVs going to get? With new entrants from VW, Ford, Audi, Fiat et al there better be plenty of buyers out there, on both sides of the Atlantic

a rear engined air cooled V8 is the Devils work and no mistake

@TinaChow: OMG, you're so right but I'm sure Goggle would have something to say if they tried to use it

My guess is that they would use it for a range of green city cars, hybrids, electrics etc as such a concept wouldn't be a good "fit" for either the BMW or Mini brand. Maybe the car could be the product of the rumoured colabloration with Mercedes over a small car.

I'd have both but if you held a gun to my head I'd pick the Saab because it's rarer and the WTF factor is higher

The Dodge because it reminds me of our neighbour's car when I was a kid and I was always sure they were devil worshippers

Personally I like to keep things simple because I think the more gizmos the more things there are to go wrong but I do wish my car had a proper iPod connection, when I get some time I'm will get it sorted…
