@tbennett017: completely agree, the Cayenne tops my list and the revised model doesn't improve things at all, in fact the new tail-lights make it look like the car got too close to the fire warming it's butt, and melted a little

@smokyburnout: of course, I was forgetting that you Diesel emission standards are so much different from ours. I remain unconvinced by the Euro-Civics design, it works better as a 3 door (which this is) than the 5 door but I think it is dating quickly

@Snark21883: couldn't agree more, seems like total over-engineering. The S 300 Bluetec Hybrid makes more sense but I really wish that utilized the A-class sandwich platform properly and make a super-efficient A-class hybrid. I'd actually trade in my current A-class on one of those

It works for me an is soooo much better looking than it's near relative, the Ford Mondeo. The more I see of that car the less I like it

In what sense is this car a prototype? The Diesel Civic in on sale throughout Europe

Please please let the real C5 be as interesting, surely they must be going to use the concave rear window on the real thing (the C6 has one so why not the C5?). And the fixed hub steering wheel is so the way forward. I had a C4 hire car in France over the summer and loved that only the bit you steer with actually

Lordy, there's sexism, racism (the Jap baiting) and alcoholism to boot. But the idea that they thought the Lamborghini Marzel would go it production and cost £11,000 tops all

On this side of the pond I'm always slowed down a little by the Citroen C6, there aren't many around and those that are really stand out from the crowd. I spotted my first XF late last week, parked opposite my office with Jag's head of design Ian Callum at the helm (he was having his photo took) and it looked great

somehow the sneering turned-down front bumper just adds to the menace

Did anybody actually ask for a car like this? Seems to be it will end up being neither fish nor fowl

@RalphieDC: couldn't agree more, the "real" MGB V8 worked because it had a nice light Buick/Rover Alloy V8, this thing would be uncontrolably nose heavy. Meanwhile the Porsche just makes me sad. It's a no vote for me…

Personally I'd rather have the new 500 with the same engine

It's seeing things like this that make me glad I emigrated, New Zealanders just have too much time on their hands

@busessuck1: er, not quite. Early TTs had a habit of careering off the road backwards which Audi blamed on over ambitious owners but they still did a recall which tweaked the rear suspension and added the "spoiler" on the cars rump. It was an expensive exercise but nowhere near bankrupted them and of course the TT

@X-Zambian: the twin round headlamps also appeared on the European GXL version. Of course at the time American legislation disallowed things like large rectangular ones

The real give-away that it's a '73 model are the rear lights which are much bigger than the original Mk1 Capri. Now my turn to reminisce, when I was going to school my friend Melvin's mother had a 3000 GT which was metalic gold with a black interior. We used to think it was just about the coolest thing on 4 wheels and

I guess it will save stuff rattling and falling off (as it does in most Citroens)

didn't you blow a fuse or something if you opened both gull-wing doors at the same time?

see, we've turned into a virtual Project Car Hell! What engine shall we fit? And what about the wheels?

It's the slightly overweight great-grand-daughter of the Ed Roth's Orbitron!
