@squablow: the current Commodore wagon is available with a 3rd row of front facing seats but they are a "dealer fit" option rather than a factory job

I'm just happy to see they've finally done a VE wagon because there have been stories in Australia suggesting that, because SUV's have collapsed wagon sales there too, the VE estate was on hold. It would also appear that, contrary to rumour, it's using the LWB platform because the doorskin looks identical to that of…
OK, hold everything. In one of those "is this really happening" moments I looked out of my office window (in London's "media-land" Clerkenwell) and there parked in the street outside was an XF. I ran downstairs and who was standing beside it having his photo taken? Ian Callum, Jaguar's design chef. So I can tell you…
He's obviously been talking to London's mayor, Ken Livingston but he's missed the point, you don't simply ban them, you tax the hell out of them so that you actually get some cash back as you watch them slowly die
newsflash, Darth Vader has lost his helmet…
surely the rebate of which you speak is not available on the new generation "facelifted" 9-3 your pics? As far as I can tell the revised model isn't on sale in the US yet so presumably the rebate is Saab's way of clearing out their inventory of "old" models
the window line is fake which makes the side profile look so odd but these pics do give a clear view of the shape of the rear hatch. Also because it parked in a garage with people standing around it to give an idea of proportions you get an idea of how BIG the thing actually is, unless they are all midgets…
this is what happens when you let a dust-buster mate with a Willys Overland
wow you mean it has lights that turn on and off? Whatever will those clever Germans think of next?
There is a dusty looking Merak permanently parked in a garage down by Tower Bridge, everytime I pass it I bow my head and say a little pray. Could it be the one? I'm so there
@Collins1: with you all the way and if they were going to make an A3 cabrio why wait this long in the car's life-span?
It's cool but it looks like a 3 door Merc A-class that's been sat on. In any case the productionized version had better do a better job than the current Fiesta because it's entering Europe's most hotly contested class
It looks angry and sad at the same time, this car needs therapy folks
mmmm, can I have one with the panoramic windshield so that I can watch the sky bend as I accelerate?
I caught a lift in an S-Max "mini-cab" (that's what we call any taxi that's not a proper London taxi) at the weekend and was impressed by it's refinement (it was a diesel version), spaciousness (though I was in the middle rather than the back row), and ride. Not sure if it would appeal to US tastes but it's been very…
@racerx: alas it's auto only but hey not having to change gears means more time to contemplate the car's beauty. Not sure why SOS10 thinks they will only 12 worldwide, the Quattroporte has been hugely successful (by Maserati standards) and surely the GTS will build on that success.
It's a Walter de'Silva Audi so yes it has the same tail lights as the previous generation Seat Toledo, the prominent swage-line and the "angry" face. I'm sure it will be a good car and will no doubt help to lift Audi's annual production figure past the magic 1.5M mark they are chasing. The high-powered versions…
I can't help but think that a car with 600+ horse power is a bit like the Range Rovers/Cayennes/X5s etc I see every day dropping kids off at a posh school around the corner from where I live. Which is to say totally over-engineered for the use they are put to. OK fine if you've got regular access to autobahns and your…
@geeteeoh: like I said, price point will be the make or break issue. And surely the point about Toyota's entry into the prestige market is that they created a new brand with completely separate marketing and dealers. This doesn't appear to by Hyundai's strategy
Am I being naive or is this scandal? It's one thing to be bringing down the cost of motoring for your average African consumer but if the trade-off is "an accident will kill you, and your family" it's kind of a high price to pay don't you think?
