I believe that they mean that there is Man(Link) Woman(Zelda) and Monster/Darkness(Gannon). I don’t know though that is just the way I always saw it 3 parts of the whole.

That argument works the other way too. Someone buys the game from an active player who for whatever reason has sold it and then never play it. You have lost an active player for a constant -1.
