I assume the sound of the air ratchet guns and Mike's knowing look means that the drug supply is in the truck's tires. So, Mike's spike strip is intended to cut the tires and leave a breadcrumb trail of drugs on the road for the soon-to-be-tipped off authorities to follow to bust up the whole operation.
