Around 1980, before he did Mike Hammer,   he did a 'Hawaii Five-O' type show, called 'Caribe'. I recall some critic saying that the main difference between him & Jack Nicholson, was that Jack never did TV. Stacy was THAT good!
A friend of mine saw him do a rather glorious 'Hamlet' in Central Park, before that.
