I think this is one of the aspects of the show—like a lot of the show’s depictions of sex this article praises as coming from a female viewpoint—that’s shaped by the show being creatively driven by gay men. At the time, a lot of gay people living in New York were estranged from or had strained relationships with

I think the revenge point of her blowing the married guy is that it breaks up his marriage, as well as helping to break up the four guys’ friendship. Also, weirdly, it leads to the only real laugh line of the movie, which is funny mainly because even in a turd of a movie like this, Peet is a good actress with solid

It’s not for nothing that the director went on to produce a reality show called Hell Date.

In that picture above, Knightley looks like the world’s skinniest piñata.

I think you’re talking about Whipped, where Peet dates three friends who schedule regular hangouts with their married former frat bro to talk about their conquests and pick up artist scams. Other than Peet and Brad Van Holt (who plays one of the guys), the other leads have maybe a half-dozen non-Whipped acting credits

He’s 25. Let’s not declare him Paul Rudd just yet.

Yeah, this thread made me google Peterson, and now it feels like I’ll never be as happy again as I was before I knew that shitbird existed.

Manson was charged for spitting on a female videographer he hired to shoot one of his concerts. They’re misdemeanor charges, though.

Honestly, they shouldn’t have to draw the line. I don’t think these guys should be ineligible, I just think that the membership and the nomination review committees should stop and think about what they’re doing when they’re advancing these nominations. The shame of this is on them.

Whining over cancel culture is overblown and it’s a great outlet for white self-pity, but I will point out that the $31 million arbitration judgment against Kevin Spacey saw something in the woods, and he swears it’s not a bear or a really tall man...

Again, I don’t think it’s a good performance, but no one’s doing that much external acting in 2016 to indicate that their character is neurotypical. Hell, even viewing the issue in that way is crediting Rowling and Redmayne with greater sophistication and knowledge than her script or his performance suggest they have.

Not a fan of Redmayne’s acting or the Scamander character, but Redmayne talked about it two years after the first Fantastic Beasts movie because that’s when he was doing press for the sequel (in his place, I doubt you’d spend much time talking about the Fantastic Beasts movies outside of contractually-mandated

I don’t think that’s an out-there opinion. I agree, but will add (and this wasn’t that unpopular of an opinion at the time, but might be now) that other than Cavill’s face occasionally looking like a CGI nightmare, I didn’t really mind the Justice League theatrical cut, either.

[Steps out of his Morbius showing and notices that the floor is covered with plastic sheeting.]

Baldwin might be the deepest pockets of anyone involved, so they’re going to try everything they can to keep him in the action. The complaint doesn’t seem to claim that the actor checking the gun is standard Hollywood practice. They might have some case law from a non-Hollywood case that says that you can’t totally

I kinda feel like he completed the film, the first trailer came out in late September, and he was like “Ya, ze film’s okay...ze moon falls, does it not? But it’s not good enough, everyone has seen such things before. BRING ME COCAINE AND PAPERBACK NOVELS! We are doing reshoots, and zis time there will be aliens!”

We know that during the the first war, he was all about secrecy and hiding. That’s why the Death Eaters wore masks, and why so many of his followers got away with saying that they’d had a mind control spell put on them. In Deathly Hallows, even when he takes over the government he operates through a figurehead and the

...which eventually led to Jude Law getting the Michael Caine role in the remake of Alfie! And if that’s not a fact, it is a fact to me now.

Now...I will cry for the moon.

I love the way that storyline literalizes the idea of Harry being protected by his mother’s love, not in the form of some super-powerful and enigmatic protection spell, but in a way that’s more basic and human. My only complaint is that the McGuffin memory it doesn’t work very well as mystery reveal. The McGuffin
