Dirty Mary. Crazy Larry. Car guy Peter Fonda, the very attractive Susan George and a '69 Dodge Charger 440 RT. With a rather abrupt ending.

Parker, as a fellow Nutmegger, and someone who has seen a few races at Calf Pasture Beach, congrats and welcome! You bring up an excellent point. One of the best things we can do for young drivers – as I did for my teen son – is to teach them to drive a stick. And when they get their first car, limit the choices to…
Chevy powered 911. 300HP and only 100 lb weight penalty.
You bastards. IMPA Test Days.
I worked for an auto rental company in Bridgeport, CT when I was in college in the late 70's. The fleet consisted of mostly AMC products including a few Gremlins with the 304 C.I. V-8 option. Hoonage was an ongoing activity until one of my co-workers nearly slid off the roof of the parking garage while doing donuts in…
Here's my 1990 780T with the 188HP Turbo engine. The car looked great in black, and turned a lot of heads back in the early 90s. Seriously. Unfortunately, even with the turbo, it was still underpowered, but very comfortable and enjoyable to drive. Excellent and supportive seats front and back.
1972 Subaru FF-1 G: 1.1 liter, 61+HP, 1400 lbs. I debadged and painted it, then modded with American Racing white wagon wheels, stickier tires and a Cherry Bomb glass pack. It had inboard brakes — which worked great until one of the aluminum heads would warp and oil would drip on the brakes, making stopping a very…
Tire and suspension technology keep moving forward, so it really should be a moving target. But in its day, the SVT Contour was pretty impressive. I had a 2000 that could run with much higher performance cars at Lime Rock.
And here's the video from the pace truck in front of the P4/5:
Still the tops in my book. Not just a phenomenal talent, but a real gentleman, too. The guy could and did drive anything. In 1969, not only did he win the Indy 500, but he won the Pikes Peak Hillclimb, too. Asphalt, dirt, street circuits, road course, ovals. It didn't matter.
You are seriously comparing this idiot to Alex Roy? Alex was successful at traveling great distances in a short amount of time because he was careful and prepared. Did he exceed the speed limit? Of course. Was he reckless? Not often. This d-bag is nothing but reckless. Driving skill does not equal smarts.
That is pretty epic!
And yes, I know it's not a 911. Just another flying Porsche.
Here's another one... Porsche 908.
A Gran Coupe for Connecticut? Thank you, sir!
By his standards, he would have considered Apple a failure. For many years its stock price lagged way behind other technology companies and Wall Street analysts consistently anticipated the company's death. As recently as May 2003, the share price was under $9. For a supposed "car guy," Romney sure hates cars. He was…
yes to Thorgalsen!
Car and Driver had an SHO Wagon built in 1992 and gave it to Paul Newman. His wife Joanne Woodward would drive it around Westport, CT. Very cool car.
I would certainly take a SportCombi if the price was right. 40% off seems fair.
