Yeah people working on cars and modifying them for more power/handling and then actually driving them hard and agressively on a race track while hanging out with people of similar interest. Sure sounds like a shitty hobby right?

Doesn’t like drifting but clicks on an article about drifting anyway only to post some shit story about how cool it was when you accidentally lost control of your car one time.

This website has some of the laziest writers/bloggers around. I noticed a lot of articles recently are just a link to whatever youtube video popped up in the writers recommended list that day with a vague sentence or two thrown in just to make it look like they put in “some” effort for their paycheck.

That’s ok, not everybody enjoys the same things. I’m not going to try and convince someone that they should like something if they have no interest in it.

Oh no, someone used their own time and money to build their own project car in a way you don’t personally approve of. I can only imagine how awful that must be for you to see someone build a car that is not to your specific taste. Will you be ok? Should I send help?

I don’t understand why you are upset? You asked a question and people answered.

Matt is a car guy. It’s well documented, particularly on this website before the retooled version of Top Gear aired when everyone like yourself was asking why someone best known for being an actor on a sitcom was chosen to host a car show. He wanted to be a racer before he got into acting. He races motorcycles and

I get where you are coming from but really there isn’t much “skill” in what they are doing. They usually borrow or hire a real ferrari or whatever they are trying to copy and make molds from it. To make their own car they would need to be an extremely talented designer and then make a full size model of an original

You are absolutely right, however I do see this guys videos frequently cited as absolute hard facts by people who are easily impressed by some high school level physics on a whiteboard. I think it is fair to point out the simplifications and generalizations in his work so that people who are seriously interested can

The problem I have with that guy is he uses very basic physics and makes some pretty broad generalizations which people then take as gospel. That and a lot of his videos have been real click-baity lately, which I understand is pretty much needed these days if you want to make a living from youtube. I guess my issue is

You are correct. All RB blocks are cast iron.

That is because they are 4 wheel drive and the front drive output on subarus comes from the front of the transmission so the engine placement is dictated by that. The engine fits between the chassis rails, if for some reason you wanted to convert the car to rear wheel drive you could shift the entire

I didn’t say it was definitive “proof” of anything. But the world isn’t black and white and in the absense of definitive proof the courts will look at the evidence available and weigh it up to help make a decision on what most likely happened. As I said, leaving the scene of a crime and not reporting it makes it hard

There surely was something that (at least in the drivers mind) provoked the situation, but the fact the driver fled the scene without reporting it (and then charged the passenger for a trip!) makes it hard to make a case of self defense or anything like that.

Late to the party on this so probably wasting my time since nobody will see this. But oh well the whole article is a week late so why not keep with that theme...

Yeah I can’t help but feel that this wouldn’t have been as big of a problem if the guy had just quietly returned his stripped car. Presumably VW are worried about setting a precedent by accepting this widely publicised car and then every other smartass also trying to test the limit of what they can get away with for

I must say that I do admire your ability to give zero fucks and not even try to defend the shittiness of your writing. I mean, I respect the honesty of that rather than running around in circles trying to justify yourself with convoluted logic.

Yeah I have been programming computers for over 25 years now and as much as it hurts me to read wrong information, I have had to learn not to be “that guy”. Someone who just wants to post a cool retro graphics picture usually doesn’t care about the minutiae of 80's and 90's computer technology.

I feel you, this “bit” terminology commonly used to describe any arbitrary low-resolution artstyle is almost always technically wrong but I learned there is no point trying to correct it. First problem is that most people don’t know and don’t care.

I wouldn’t take Americans comments on Australia too seriously either. Like the nutcase below who thinks bars are illegal here. You shouldn’t get all your information about the rest of the world from facebook.
