The Okinawa prefecture is pretty much like Japan’s version of Hawaii. It’s part of Japan but it has its distinct culture that rather different (but in a good way).

Having been to both, Okinawa does look quite a bit like the Caribbean in some areas.

What rock do you live under and are there any Onyx there with you?

Shut the hell up and worry about real life issues, not some made up special snowflake complex

We haven’t been a joke in football either as far as FCS teams go. We win our conference and make the FCS playoffs regularly.

Unless you consider FCS teams in general one big joke, which some certainly do.

Now in 2017, when the football team transitions to FBS (with full bowl eligibility in 2018), THEN we’ll be a joke

EA couldn’t give two shits about user complaints. As long as they have exclusives, people will keep buying their games. They’re a frustrating company to deal with. A good example:
I’ve seen many people complain about how, in single-player career mode for FIFA 16, your player’s game rating drops continuously after he’s

I've been playing since 05, and with only one break in this last year I had stuck with the game through all of the expansions. I admit, I agree with the author that vanilla was much more fascinating to play, but having 11 max level toons in game at present, I find the game quite challenging at present. The only issue

That looks like an ejaculating penis.

Have you tried Joe Abercombie’s First Law trilogy? Similar deconstructive approach to the high fantasy novel, with some great characters and a dark sense of humour. Honestly can’t speak highly enough of them.

Never heard of it - it’s really as good as ASOIAF? Only fantasy series I’ve found that I like even close to as much is Locke Lamora.

“they need to adhere to this new friendly tone company-wide if they don’t want people to point out they’re having it both ways.”

That killed a part of me

Wow! What a waste and a missed opportunity all around.

I got around most of the country, including a sojourn to the mountains with English and a few Japanese phrases. Google Maps’ transit directions in Japan are exceptionally well done too!

I took a trip to Japan about 6 months ago. You can get around with only English, but in some places it’s a little more difficult than others. Non JR trains and some public buses are little harder to navigate. Almost everywhere you go there will be someone that speaks English and/or is more than willing to help you

When I lived in Japan as a kid in the early 90s we got around just fine off base with just English and a few phrases in Japanese. They teach kids English there so most everybody has a bit of it in their brain.

Should be fine speaking English only in Tokyo. While most Japanese people don’t speak English fluently, there are plenty of signs and guides in English. Just make sure to carry a pocket dictionary or a book of phrases just in case.

Tokyo is great if you can read english. pretty much everything on signs is in both japanese and english. a lot of people also speak english, it may not be fluid english, but it can be enough to help you with some things. once you get a little ways out of the city, you will start to see less and less english.

Absolutely. Went to visit my sister (Only spoke English as well) had 0 problems and I traveled to Kyoto,Osaka, Tokyo, Hiroshima, and Miyajima Island. Everyone was helpful and accommodating.

Japan looks so beautiful. I just hate the fact that a flight from Brazil to Japan is crazy expensive and with some crazy connections. Quick question by the way. Is it possible to get around Japan, specially Tokyo with only English?
