For me the problem with the latest Battlefield/Battlefront is that they all look and feel the same. I just bought BF1 and it feels a lot like Battlefront and this looks a lot like BF1 as well. DICE using the same UI does not help either.

They are mostly 1:1. I usually save some by not buying soundtracks, or expensive skins.

Some may say one game in each series, personally i see their value but don’t put them in high regard, same as RE4. But i see your point. :)

But at what point does one game loses his uniqueness and becomes a copy of something else? Like all those Arkham and Call of Duty play-alikes. The flaws you mentioned in SotC might as well be what gives some of it’s “flavour”
