Yes and no. We got an HRV while our fit was in for a recall and it is based on the same platform but somehow lost a vast amount of practicality in the process. It seemed substantially smaller on the inside somehow too.

I just checked and my wife’s Fit is 99.6"! It’s a monster!
I have never been in a dealership to buy a car and not felt like I was making a terrible decision and being ripped off yet.
The closest I came to that was when I had a very pleasant experience buying a new Mazda3 a year ago, up til the point where they told me they spent over a month trying to get one car at a time and…
It is also driving investment in battery storage around the country. Another company has announced they are going to build a 1200MW battery near where I grew up. It’s great news for further rolling out renewable energy and also as a place for old batteries to be used.
I will always give credit for Tesla for that…
For new cars in the US, I’ve bought two manual Honda Fits (technically the second is a lease), and a Civic Si so I’m trying too.
If a manual 335i/340i wagon existed I would have it instead of the Civic.
They don’t bother me but I can see where you are coming from. Outside of the current bucktoothed generation, the fifth gen (F01 says google) 7 series is the most disappointing design wise to me. How far the 7 series fell from E38 perfection to polarising E65 to then just the non-descript and weak design of the F01.
Styl…
E90 M3 is definitely great for sure. I think Bangle had a good handle on the silhouette of the car which is why overall his designs have aged well.
VW’s Passat sized iD6 wagon has my curiosity piqued. If they can get it somewhere close to higher end Passat pricing that is.
The E60 was definitely the best of the Bangle era, true then and true now.
Agree with this. The Y is like they took the 3 and then were challenged to make the proportions at least 50% worse.
And Windows Phone. I miss a lot of aspects of Windows Phone.
When I get home I’ll have to break the sad news to my eldest child T-a that we have been pronouncing it wrong all this time.
In the 7 years I have living and driving in the US, I have about a 1% hit rate for people missing their exit/turn and then proceeding to the next available opportunity to correct it.
The other 99% slam on their brakes, stop in moving traffic, cut across multiple lanes, make last ditch attempts as shown in the video or…
I also remember the whole Bill Gates bad, Steve Jobs good thing too, despite it being the inverse.
Would think it must be huge inside with the wheels so far out at the corners. My wheelbase point was more about trying to wrap my head around that it’s the size of a CRV, not a Golf based on the styling. It has 14" more wheelbase than a Golf.
Almost no large cars have the wheels pushed as far to the corners as this car…
Short is the ultimate Starbucks thing for when you’re stuck an an airport where there are no better options than Starbucks. A short americano makes a much more satisfying coffee than anything else.
Though I always view Starbucks as 80% secret menu because the menu only ever lists what current seasonal drinks they have.…
Solar panels in the roof could be used for the HVAC to keep the cabin fresh when parked in the sun.
I’ve read a few articles about this but they never really touch on the reclining seats. I have to assume it’s to promote how comfortable you can be whilst waiting for it to recharge? Recline and have a literal power nap.
I believe the glass roof is an option. It’s probably:
Standard - Metal roof
Option 1 - Solar roof
Option 2 - Glass roof
The wheelbase is 4" longer than the Palisade! There is some seriously impressive design trickery going on to make it look smaller.
