Counter-argument: there’s no point being nice to people who just want to watch the world burn and don’t give a shit about those of us who understand that freedom isn’t free; it takes us all giving up some measure of personal freedom in order to make sure we’re all free and taken care of.

People choosing not to get a lifesaving vaccine is a problem. But it doesn’t mean they deserve to suffer.

The problem is that natural selection is doing its thing.

When I see public health experts giving me changing information, I am comforted that they are doing the work to keep me up to date. Comforted.

Usually it’s because they’re asking questions that have been answered hundreds of times over and it’s obvious that they’re asking, not in search of knowledge, but to increase skepticism.

To the genius grey that responded to me, clearly funding NASA is the best option, but that’s not going to happen, which is why I said “not the government”.
