I have a feeling Mother Nature will take care of it sooner than later. I’m actually sort of astonished that Mitch hasn’t been frantically grooming a successor. If he punches his ticket and leaves his mortal shell behind, I do believe that the governor of KY (a Democrat) will get to pick the person that replaces him

It’s been a long week, so I’m sure I’m missing something here. Can somebody explain to me the calculus behind Trump “flipping” Arizona and then magically being able to declare victory?  It would seem to me that he’d still be well shy of 270.

I have to assume one of his staffers coded up a fake vote tally that shows the race within reach for him.  Baby Donny needs his passy.

She cancelled herself.

That sounds entirely plausible. And this will be Fox News on that day:

If Fox News goes away, or even if it divorces itself slightly from the Republican party, I guess it’s a small win?

I mean, this is page 1 in Trump’s playbook (and the rest are blank pages, like his “plan” to replace the ACA).  The first thing he did after getting elected was file his papers for 2020.

This is the vehicle that Trailer Park Tommy buys when he hits that big lotto jackpot.  ND all day long.

the HHR is probably the worst tall-ish vehicle I’ve ever driven in terms of visibility.

I don’t know if Kentucky is different than other states, but when Mitch punches his ticket, it might mean that a Democratic governor gets to pick his successor.

Also Repugnuts:

The Democrats just need to boost the signal of the obstructionism.

I don’t think the optics of political persecution will matter to the feds or the IRS.

It’s a two-button situation for Trump. I think even he knows that he could get a high-visibility gig either of his own creation or even his own dedicated Fox TRUMP channel.  But appearing to lose at something?  That’s a bitter pill to swallow.  Even if he claims he was CHEATED by the DEMOCRAT EXTREMISTS.

The problem, of course, is that Trump isn’t just going to go away after inauguration day. Twitter might ban him. If that happens, Fox News will do a daily call-in segment with him where he spews incendiary nonsense for as long as he pleases. But say even that gets taken from him. He’d hold his nose and offer his

My childhood congregation had very few affairs that I can remember. There were several schisms in the parishioners related to abortion and homosexuality, however. A chunk of the congregation left because the pastor refused to incorporate anti-abortion messaging into his sermons. Another chunk left because he refused

The geography seems to be correct for “Navajo,” but this also seems like a strangely-specific kink.

Yep. It presents well, but something about it screams “trouble” to me.
