I have two go-tos

Tip 1: Don't try to work full time while going to grad school full time.

After ordering this hood and paying for it; Amazon canceled my order without my permissiondue to a "technical error", and even went so far as to delete it from my records. I believe someone made a mistake. Here is the email I got from there.

I put myself in a fictional situation and let it start playing out in my head until I conk out. My favorite is just imagining that I'm walking through the woods alone.

What does science tell us about sleeping with vs. without White Noise? Do you get deeper/better sleep with nothing at all?

Does anyone have a recommendation for a good leather motorcycle jacket with CE armor?

What's gaming like on these? I'm not talking about killer framerates on Crysis 3; but could these (with mostly integrated intel HD graphics) play games like Skyrim or Tomb Raider REASONABLY well?

Instructables for building the computer are found here.

Your total price is going to be around $215. (Assuming youd non't have a pi, a HDD, and SD card, or some of the more common USB cables). Mine didn't even cost me $100 because I had most of the stuff I needed lying around.

I'll look at adding a fstab entry and try again.

You are very welcome! I wasn't really sure how to do the fan either, but I knew I had an extra USB port and I knew power came out of that (to some degree). So I just googled around until I found out how.

I've been thinking of this for a while actually. My biggest problem is getting new files onto the HDD without taking the entire thing apart.

Interesting question.

Thanks Alan! It was a lot of fun to build.

So you actually wouldn't HAVE to solder anything; IF you didn't need a reset switch and bought some wire-to-wire connectors for the power you could get away without soldering.

TOTAL cost is around $215 depending on what HDD you go with. I had a lot of these parts lying around, and I was already dragging them back and forth with me on trips. I only had to buy the case and a few cables to get myself a nifty little computer.
