I would NOT call myself a computer expert. I have built a few, but like you, I couldn't code my way out of a dark corner.

The pi is VERY easy to get the operating system I used up and running. I used RaspBMC, which involved simply putting the SD card in your computer, clicking a giant install button, and then ejecting

I actually needed the extra storage space. You could use this computer for many things, but I use mine as a portable media center. So whenever I'm traveling, I just load it up with my media and take it with me.

WHOOO!!! I'M FAMOUS!! Actually I'm just here to answer any questions.

How can I get rid of all the blinking lights in my room without damaging my electronics? Between a charging laptop, tablet, cell phone, camera battery; three monitors on standby; plus a Rasberry Pi, and whatever else I have hooked up to the command center that week I feel like I'm on sleeping through a disco or laser

My work playlist is stuff I've recently discovered. I add to it daily when I find more songs that I like. It's mostly indie, folk type music.

I'm fond of Yatse Remote on my Android phone to control my XBMC Media PC.

Lifehacker, it's like you're reading my mind. Thanks for always somehow (and creepily) knowing what project I'm about to do next.

A reset switch is useful, but is there a way to wire on/off/reset switches?
