Hollywood loves successful movies.. but they love successful movies that fit within a mold they are comfortable with. When things outside of that mold happen, they freak out. And women as actual humans (not as extensions of Men), and Black people as again, adults, not needing to be rescued by some outsider or as a sex…

I was wondering the extent to which Henderson’s piece was a baiting article, where he could plausibly deny the racial aspect, and I think Monique is spot on in how she breaks it down. But he knows there is a big time racial aspect and he’s deliberately being oblivious to it for the sake of clickbaiting controversy.
