Personally I don’t really mind them doing this. Where I live YouTube is blocked and I need a VPN to watch and even then it’s on the lowest resolution and cuts in and out. I am interested in this topic and reading this summery gives me the same basic information as watching the video. I’m still going to go and buy…
I’m over 6ft tall, and I hate sitting. At home and at work I can only force myself to sit for short periods of time. However, I work overseas. On my recent trip back I sat patiently in my economy seat for over 13 hours because the guy next to me fell asleep and I didn’t want to disturb him. So I did get out of my seat…
My sister is a poor hipster she still drives the 95 Honda Accord my grandma gave to me nearly 20 years ago. It still has my old cassette tapes (Bad Religion Suffer was the first tape I ever bought and I just rescued it from the glove box last month) and she still uses the adapter we had since high school. It may be…
I use a car cover on non windy days. I have my technique down quite well by now. From the religious way I fold up the cover to make it easier to consistently cover the car I’ve done everything I can to use less time. Now it takes me about as much time to cover as it does to slowly walk around the car. The trick is to…
I don’t want to say that I live in a vacuum, but the biggest thing that I learned from reading this article is that there is a team called the Nationals. Pretty much everything else except for the Corvette was news to me.
I think it is really cool what you are doing. I love old things made new again and I love camping and road trips. However, the Scamp looks almost exactly like my cat carrier so the entire time reading the article I couldn’t stop thinking about that. Anyway, best of luck and I really look forward to reading more about…
And here I thought living in China afforded little to no privacy. I have never used facebook, twitter or those other trendy online social media sights (ok, I admit to using Myspace in collage, before I had a car) and in my searches for both my car in the states and my car in Beijing I came up with no results. My car…
My first car I bought brand new, my second car I went to eBay. It is also the only car I own and drive when I am in the US. I got in in the summer of 2009 just after the carpocalypse and prices were low on used cars. It took me a long to to find the right car with the options I wanted and in my area. I went with my…
My car is from 2003, and as it ages, the more a part of me it becomes. I am now deeply intimate with the workings of my car. In my mom’s gravel drive way, my cousins garage, in front of my friends house and in my own garage I started small by changing brake pads and spark plugs and in the past few years I have put all…
I skipped this article the first time, but when I saw one in person at the grocery store then another picking us students at the school I teach at I kind of wanted to learn more. First off, I was taken back on the size of it, then there were the rims which I assumed were aftermarket. The one that picked up students…
Sorry to hear that your town isn’t doing so well. The small town I grew up in and the medium town I reside in now (both in Southern Michigan) are doing well with a lot of growth and repair in the past few years, keeping the charm but also making it very accessible and with many interesting things to do.
I find it interesting that I can still see scenes similar to this on road trips and even in rural places in my home state of Michigan. The buildings on small town mainstream and the back roads still have the same look to them. As much progress and change that we go through there are some things that remain constant.
I am from Michigan and this is pretty depressing news. I wish the article said his reasons for going there, if there was no reason other than to see and be seen and avoid stepping in horse crap then that is pretty lame for them to bring all of those cars to the island. If it was for some important reason I may settle…
I don’t care much about the people involved, in fact I can honestly say that I don’t know whether they are actors or sports people... But I care about the car, will it run again? How badly was it damaged? That is the reporting that I care about. I also hope the people involved make a speedy recovery.
The scans don’t show any codes but the car’s manual says that when the yellow airbag light is on there is a problem with that system. It’s been on for the 6 years that I’ve owned the car. The longevity of that light is quite impressive.
My 2011 Camaro has a passenger airbag light on, its above the rearview mirror so it doesn’t bother me and I usually don’t ride with anyone anyway. I have no idea what it means, I have a scanner, I’ve taken it in and no problem has ever shown up on the scans. Interestingly enough, I drove a Camaro nearly identical to…
I actually liked the amateurish Camaro on the screen. The first time I saw it I took a photo. As a person who dispenses gas into his car on occasion, I never really even pay attention to the design interface. I just wait for them to take my money and feed my girl’s drinking problem.
My girlfriend and I just completed a (partial) road trip on Route 66. We started at Flagstaff and drove to St. Louis stopping off at as many stops that we could in the time we had. It was an emotional experience going through town after town that had once been flourishing and now just a shell of its once grand former s…
I drive rental cars a few times a year and I usually try to rent something similar to what I own. An American muscle car, even if it costs more. But there are some trips where this is not possible or not worth it so in my experience the worst rental car I have ever driven is a toss up between any Nissan sedan and the…
