That was a great read! I just completed a 3 week camping trip with my girlfriend in our 2003 BMW Z4. We packed a good size tent, inflatable mattress as well as all the bedding, cooking gear, a cooler and clothes into one of the smallest trunks I’ve ever seen. I can see lots a parallels in our trips, it was my first

It’s funny you mention that. I live in China and we have a lot of Haier things around the house. They usually make very reliable, innovative and almost futuristic designs in a lot of their appliances. When I get back to the states and see what Heier is selling it’s almost comical. Most of what they sell in the US is

As a motorcycle rider in who also lives in China I am seeing more and more Harley’s on the road. Which is surprising because of the cost to get a license plate for a motorcycle on top of the huge taxes that go with a legally imported bike. People here don’t care too much about displacement and speed and distance is

My take is that math is a universal language. Most of the world speaks the same language, and uses metric. Metric is very easy to understand because it is based on 1o’s. Most people have 10 fingers or toes so its a pretty easy concept to understand. Because I grew up in the US but have lived my whole adult life

It’s interesting how this article came out just a few days after I rode a motorcycle for the first time in about 5 years. My experience was quite the opposite. I was having dinner at a friends house and another guest had rode a Vespa over and was really keen on having me try it out. I slowly and shaky rode it in a

I am so envious. I replaced the suspension on my 140,000 mile Z4 in my garage, by myself with nothing but jack stands and hand tools. It took me less than a whole day, but it would have probably taken me just a few hours if I had friends with cool toys. My car has felt off for a while and was making some strange

I wasn’t even considering buying Forza Horizon 4 (I have 1-3 already and didn’t feel it is as challenging at Forza) BUT with Lego added I might have to go for it. The Hot Wheels expansion for Horizon 3 was the first thing I ever bought that didn’t come with a game in my life, but after enjoying the Hot Wheels more

My first car was a 2007 Hyundai Tiburon. I bought it new too. I absolutely love the styling, even today. I can’t say that about the earlier generations though. The interior, while held over from the pre-facelift, still is nice and has help up to the test of time. As for handling, it was pretty good, and I made better

Thanks! Can’t wait to try to make it myself. I don’t think I have had any since 1995.

That’s it!! Thanks. Now I need to find the recipe for my summer road trips....

I love do road trips every summer, one of the perks of being a teacher! I always used to have beef jerky and sunflower seeds along with water and a coffee. One year I unknowingly dropped a sunflower seed and it fell between the seats. My road trip car gets put in storage when I am not on summer vacation so the next

Give me a private message and I can share my details if you need my help. I’d be happy to assist out anyone. Do you mean you are going to take your Challenger to China? There are a few Challengers around, but much more rare than Mustangs and Camaros. Or are you going to road trip in the US?

It really is a fantastic place to visit and to live, there are some huge cultural differences and quirks that still seem strange to be. However, I am a very easygoing person and I am very accepting of others so I don’t get bothered my much. As for your questions, I do have some times where I feel uncomfortable talking

I love my base model Z4. All from sitting in the drivers seat, all I need to do is twist a big handle above the rear view mirror to unlock it, pull the roof back and down then press hard to lock it into place. It probably takes me 5 seconds to do it, and it’s all so tactile and reassuring. Putting it back up is just

Thank you. It is really meaningful to have some one write that to you online. If your ever passing through Beijing just look me up!

I absolutely love living and working in China. There are so many more opportunities to do cool stuff here than back home in Michigan. I came with my parents when I was in high school and spoke a little bit, but being nearly fluent in mandarin has really made it easier for me to enjoy living here. There is a vibrant

Thank you! That’s what I’ve been saying all along! Although if it was not for the movie the Camaro may have not become a production car.

And that’s why I love this site, someone do to the nerdy math so I don’t have to. (I’ll be back to the states in a month, hope the gas prices are low again). But as you can see from the graph the prices don’t change drastically like they do in the states. For my car in the US the data points are much more varied.

I get a lot more looks at the car than I do for being Caucasian when I’m out in the country. In the city not so much. Most people know my car from the transformers movie, so everyone calls it bumblebee, which still bothers me after 6 years of ownership. It has really been a pleasure to own and enjoy it in China.

That’s just what a few of my friends have said to me. One friend had a Honda Fit in the states and bought one here and even though they should have been the same car he could tell that there were somethings off. The quality and thickness of metal for one thing. It’s true that there are some very interesting cars
