Wow! A meh-car I can relate to! My neighbors (and friends since childhood) owned one of these a few years ago. He is a retired Ford worker and only buys Fords of course. He had one of these when they first came out and our families went out for dinner and being the one who doesn’t drink in both our families, I was the

While I understand what the author is getting at, I can’t agree with the argument. If you are shopping for a Camaro, you know for sure what you want. Its not like a Corolla that has no distinguishing features. I’m not at all a Chevy fan boy, but I remember way back when I was little that the Camaro Z-28 was something

I remember watching this movie when I was in high school after it came out on VHS. I had moved over seas and every summer I would go back to the states to spend time at my old house with my old friends. We tried to spend as much time together as we could. This movie was a huge part of one of those summers that I will

My very first car was a 07 Hyundai Tiburon bought new off the lot. I bought it in November. The car I learned how to drive with was pre-ABS. So the first snow fall my wife (girlfriend at the time) and I decided to go up to the mountains. On the way back I noticed the car was shuddering when I put on the brakes, and I

While I have never sold a car, I did give one to my father in law (who lives with us, so in a way I never got rid of any car). I am happy to still have that car in close proximity because I love the lines and style of the car I gave to him, I can’t help but to stare at it every time I get home from work. Additionally,

Oh, those drive me crazy too. A lot of high end cars like Mercedes has these kind of tips. They are really noticeable at night when my lights shine directly into the tailpipes, showing me the awful truth...

I have a carbon fiber hood on my daily driver, it’s black and the car is silver. I take it to the track and before it had some problems over heating, so I got a hood with vents. Problem solved! I’m too lazy to change the hood back and forth, so I apologize for it.

I’ve got your back. I took off the amber turn lights that were required where I live and put on the stock (to the US market) red lights.

I found this piston from a “WWII era Jeep” for a couple of bucks at a stall in an antique mall. I was on a road trip at the time and can’t remember what state I found it in. Anyway, I like the way it looks on my desk and holds small all things quite nicely.

My dad told me the same thing years ago, but he added- if you get a flat when driving through Detroit...

My dad was a diplomat and he drove a 91 Honda Accord for our entire time abroad. I still live overseas and drive a Camaro but I’m not here as a diplomat. It is a trend that many of the US embassy personel have been buying locally made cars, it’s quite a let down every time I see a US diplomatic plate on a local made

There are some issues with civilians driving embassy vehicles. I’m a diplo-brat (dad was a US a diplomat, I was the dependent) so we got embassy plates everywhere we lived which pretty much meant we could do anything we wanted on the road, but if you are not a diplomat driving it there could be troubles with

I was walking around the Beijing Auto Show a few days ago (fun fact: I live down the street from where it is being held) and saw quite a few interesting cars. They are just not from US manufactures.

Its not bad when you are talking cross culture. Some countries have different names for the same car, but it will only have one chassis code. I just don’t like how hard it is for me to search for go fast parts for my car... I just get links to gas. I drive an E85.

Thanks so much for clearing that up! I can’t believe I had forgotten about that well know fact... Next time I teach a history lesson I will be sure to pass on that information.

I couldn’t stand the 4 speed auto in my first car... that and the lame 2L engine are the only reasons I got a new car. The power band is so narrow and gears are spaced so far away it kills any fun when driving it. My Z4 has a 5 speed manual that is superb and my Camaro has the auto 6 and I can’t complain about that

I am not really a superstitious person however after reading that it occurred to me that not long after I bought a 1996 Honda RVF 400 motorcycle my 1989 VFR 400 stopped working, and hasn’t run since (and I still have the VFR despite it not having run in over 10 years).

That is a great story, but I have so many more questions after reading it. The biggest one is regarding this sentence:

Thanks for sharing! I only recently bought a house in Jackson and am still learning about the city’s history. Hope to come across some of their names in my reading.

Do you happen to live in Jackson, Mi? If so, Hi from down the road. If not I’m curious.
