Another reason to like stainless - easy to replace.
We bought a home that included a kitchen with SS appliances. When the dishwasher died, there were many upgrade choices from many manufacturers. Same with the fridge. I hate to think what we would have done if we had some proprietary GE profile finish.

Agreed. Unfortunately those are often some of the most expensive fridges (probably because they tend to go in very custom kitchen designs) and then you still have to bring your own matching panels. Definitely an investment but look great.

I know someone that has that in their apartment. It does make the fridge and dishwasher blend well with everything else in the kitchen.

...what does the sink finish have to do with the garbage disposal?

Black matte isn’t stainless steel. Its coated metal... closer to the paint on your car.

Well... ok then.

I’ve always been partial to cabinet facing on appliances (I don't know what this is formally called). You can get wood paneling to match your cabinets to make it look like your dishwasher and fridge are just big cabinets. This helps a lot in small kitchens, where the cabinet to appliance ratio is low.

And weighed as much.

I miss the old 70s green fridges, built like god damn tanks.

I think we’ll be mocking Crocs and man buns too much to worry much about stainless steel. It will definitely be a way to signal the era in future television shows and movies about the early 20th century.

I think it follows the “stick to basic colors and design with accessories” approach. White and Black have been mainstays more than mustard and avocado because “white goes with everything” etc. So, stainless is a nice generic color, too......so I doubt it goes out of style the same way colors do.

This article provides no reason to pick anything other than stainless steel. It merely confirms that stainless steel is the best, but there are other colors available if you feel like it.

I think most of the time the stainless steel is really just a shell over a steel, maybe, base.  My mom has a SS fridge and magnets work just fine.

There are stainless steel alloys that do allow magnets to stick. It depends on the amount of nickel in the alloy and other factors. Our current stainless steel refrigerator and our previous one both allow magnets to stick to them without trouble.

Tuba Lube would kill to be as accomplished as Michelle Obama. All this spermburping jerk has done is be blonde and racist.

I want to give so many stars for this.

Take a look at the number of likes in that tweet and you’ve got 31.5 k reasons to get out and vote in six weeks.

Bitch.... Michelle O accomplished more in her life BEFORE she became first lady than you and your whole tornado bait trailer trash family have ever even read about. Double Ivy League Graduate. Lawyer. Hospital Administrator. Mother. Go getter. Accomplisher of many things, not the least of which is to be married to a
