I am a fan of hers but she is 100% driving these stories as far as I can tell

It really shows the power of favorable land permitting institutions (you have a lot of latitude to do shit on your own land in Texas) along with cheap land in general. You can get a lot of renewable energy even in states where the government is at best neutral towards it, and sometimes even hostile.

I also would like to be excluded from this.

“I wonder when the last time Bradley Cooper or Robert Deniro were asked in interview after interview about any argument they’d ever had. How about Christian Bale? We stick to the art with them, Don’t we? I’d like to have the same opportunity.”

Part of the Twitch contract is that if you do something that can drastically hurt their image by being connected to them and they can ban you at the drop of a hat.  Its pretty standard stuff, honestly. You represent them when you stream on them, and they are trying to limit their liability about who represents them.

Given that people crash into emergency vehicles with their lights on all the time, it’s unfortunately possible for someone who’s high or just not paying attention to run into just about anything.

Why cater to the small minority of people who are so offended by bad words in books that they can’t read them?

One of your own comments was apt here, so I’ll just reply with that:

Humans also tend to comprise families and estates.

Good, bad, or otherwise, in and of itself, I don’t know. But I think this (along with Dahl) is a signpost along the road, and a demonstration of where we’re headed. If we’d talked ten years ago, say, about editing these kinds of works to make them less offensive, I think most people here would have laughed it off as

how exactly do you fix “The Shadow over Innsmouth,” say. The whole concept revolves around his horror at The Other.

Honestly, I’m starting to wonder whether someone with Kindergarten Cop residuals is paying this troll money. He posts that gif at least every other day. I’m not sure he knows there are others.

I understand why these IP owners want to keep these books on cultural life support by hiding (some) of the authors’ sins ($$$$$$$$$$$$$$) but it feels anti-historical to do so. The books of both of these men were written for specific people and implicitly not for others. Let today’s kids and other readers find other,

Pathetic. The people this is presumably being done for would probably never buy James Bond books in the first place.

It’s wild seeing the same accounts posting dozens of shitty comments in every article and just keeping at it for months. One quick block could take care of that! Not to mention that the flagging system seems to just be a sugar pill for commenters. I’ve flagged completely beyond-the-pale harassment and threats comments

Reading is fundamental. I never said my point of view was the only valid one. I argue with dozens of people on here every week about all kinds of topics and their points of view are also valid. I said Ms. Funches-Wade’s POV isn’t...because it literally makes no sense in light of reality. Being trans in our society is

In fairness, Jezebel’s owners are failing trans people, and that’s not really surprising considering who they are. They’re too cheap to even pony up for a proper editor for these articles, let alone put someone on troll patrol.

You’re not wrong, but these sites are in such rough shape it’s not at all surprising. For years we’ve been bleeding functionality. Remember when we used to get notifications when people starred our posts?

The ex is fundie christian, you were spot on.

How to be a shitty person:
