Early voting is usually longer it seems. Last election, the last day of early voting the line was around the block.  Election day?  I got in and out in under 10 minutes.  I’m up in the Edgewater neighborhood.

In Chicago, at my polling place on the North Side of town in the Edgewater neighborhood, there was no line at all. I went at 9am, 3 hours after the polls opened. I don’t have any faith in Trump.  I do have faith that Mattis and Dunford know and have very strict guidelines.  The last thing *they* want is to have an international incident caused by their actions.  Unfortunately, the DHS people and the posses going there will likely provide that....

The orders as designed right now are legal.  As long as it’s just support troops, there’s nothing against the law.  Now if someone gave an order to shoot on unarmed civilians, *that* would obviously be illegal. 

Mattis has been the sole voice of reason in the cabinet. It certainly hasn’t been Bolton or Pompeo. Mattis isn’t perfect by any stretch, but he’s the one who is soft pedaling on any military involvement. Fine, he could resign if he thought it was an immoral order, but given current rules of engagement and posse…

Yeah, I’d prefer it all year round. In the summer, with it being light until 8:45pm in Chicago is nicer than say having it only light until 7:45 pm.
