I haven’t thought about that jewel in a long time. Fantastic machine!

You have a good point, but E-con is right. The CG guys probably weren’t trained for ship-board ops (which is really hard to do), but they are well trained in pulling people off ships and out of the drink with a winch.
Racist... but shockingly accurate.
LOL! So shiny!
These days there’s only so much one can do with a “new” engine design that won’t make it look like you’re borrowing from others. Hell, just look at the Toyota NASCAR engine! It’s like a mutant SBII/Ford/Dodge/Turtle all in one iron and aluminum lump, and it works! I’m betting Mr. Morris looked at what works and what…
Most likely to allow coolant to move between the inner and outer jackets. Otherwise, you’d have a sizable stagnation zone mid-block, down low. Also, I’m not completely convinced this is an LSX. The deck is too open and the whole thing isn’t magnetic enough. Probably closer to a C5R/C6R block.
I had an 81 CVCC sedan and loved the hell out of it. It was spunky and interesting to drive, for sure. That being said, I’m pretty sure the wagon had leaf springs and a tube axle in the back, which may move the needle to the left on the Fun-O-Meter.
I’m just a dumn ‘Murican, so I can understand about 30% or his words... so that’s like 5 words... gawd I feel dumb.
lol you said übermensch.
It is. The B-1 has a max ordinance load of 75,000 lbs, while the Buff is rated to carry 70,000 lbs.
I have no personal experience with work horses, but I have been told that they like to pull things, like Huskies. I guess that’s what thousands of years of selective breeding gets ya!
I was waiting to see how long before someone went there! Ha haa!!
High quality watches, well built rifles, fine chocolate, and... flywheel powered busses! Thanks, Switzerland!
Meh.
Did somebody say Kinetic Energy Recovery System? Is this 1950s Switzerland? Gyrobus???
Some of the front OML is driven by PedPro, but aero is absolutely the dominant driver for the evolving shape of The Car. I’m an aerodynamicist at one of the Big Three and we aero guys definitely have more to do with the shape than anyone other than the design studio artists. The EPA has left us little choice. PedPro…
You’re describing the future where aero rules all! The commercial aircraft industry standardized the shape of the “tube-liner” in the 60s for this very reason. Sure they sometimes mount the engines under the wings, other times on the rear fuselage, but they’re really all about the same other than that. Cars are…
