It was really good, but I think it needed more time in the oven. I can see why it’s on some people’s lists, but I can definitely also see why it’s not.

I got it for Christmas and just finished it last night. It was fun, but I don’t know if it was GotY material. The performance was pretty bad on PS4, and I’m also a fan of the Souls series and combat is just a bit less responsive. The lock on switch was driving me nuts, and the parry timing seemed pretty inconsistent…

That’s a good spread of AAA blockbusters and quality ‘indie’ (for lack of a better term) gems in there. I clearly need to give Disco Elysium a shot and Baba is You has been on my list for a long time.

The creators have stated its best if you cheat and set all your stats to max so you can get the story. The game play itself is not the reason for playing. 

Planescape: Torment is the yardstick of what I consider to be good RPG content.
I did also enjoy Tides of Numenera, but I wanted more out of it.
