Yes, but each of those miles could be a more crowded mile. Granted, he's studying rural highways, so perhaps not as much a factor as in urban areas.

The whole thing sucks. Every election we get more bad choices from the same bad parties resulting in only two "real" presidential candidates to vote for, who are most often equally bad. It's just sad.
As an engineer myself, may I say “Supercar-owning Design Engineer” should be an offered major. Sadly, that was not mine.
All the comments might give me a complex about my stickered up Patriot. Does it matter where the stickers are? Windows, rack fairing, etc.?
Roads looked reasonably plowed to me. And come on, enough.."What those with weaker constitutions might say we needed at that moment was a massive snowblower, and a proper jet-powered melter." Two feet of snow isn't really that much.
I work in a SAG-D associated industry, quite an interesting scenario up there.
Saw this yesterday and was going to send it in...is there a tips email for Jalopnik? I thought there used to be one, but don't see it listed anywhere.
If that defense, which basically won Denver the game, squeaked out a 2 point win, I'd be surprised if the Super Bowl isn't a repeat of 2 years ago.
Perfect timing. Just watched this Monday night, said the exact same thing about the jet engine exhaust. And that sniper fire makes for some tough laps. I had forgotten how bad this movie was. Not so sure watching this trilogy again was a good idea.
This could replace my ‘08 Patriot in 5 years. Checks most of the boxes. And looks like a box. Perfect.
24? Plenty of time to recover and ensure proper future honing.
Not enough curves. (Not talking about the Aston.)
Confused by the use of an exclamation point. Sorry Mabel, that just jumped out at me.
Looks like a deer to me. Unless I have elk in my backyard. Sure you can get away with minimal damage from a small doe. A buck? Not so much.
Murphy's Law is on line 1 for you.
I often wonder why not spend the money improving the quality of our driving (as a whole), instead of relying on technology to keep cars “safe”. There are plenty of people without any of these aids, driving around in Buffalo winters, who manage not to play bumper cars. Yes, I understand the extra help makes everything…
In the Harry Potter books, Snape makes the story, especially the last 2. In the movies he is far and away the best aspect of an amazingly well translated story over 8 movies, again especially the last 3 movies (covering the last 2 books). Without spoiling, it's one of the most moving aspects of a book/movie I've come…
From November 2014 here around Buffalo. Thought of this when that flying ice video was first posted.
The amount of pet coke the U.S. exports (unsurprisingly) gets little attention. Dirtiest fuel source there is. Any gains made in clean energy are getting wiped out by Asia burning this stuff.
Too much logic in this post. -1
