So much of television's past was personality driven. A Mary Tyler Moore or Dick Van Dyke were the show. Archie Bunker was bigger than the stories. Whereas today, I couldn't name more than two or three actors on American Family. But it's the most popular show on television. I think with the commitment to better

The reason I started reading this website was after I saw a tweet to the effect of "Has Jeff Propst Solved Racism?" after the Phillip diatribe a few seasons back. That was brilliant. But yesterday's tribal was. . .whoa. I wished the contestants would have revolted instantly to vote Colton out of the game. At least to

I very much look forward to Hollie's performances. To steal a line from Randy, I don't know what kind of music she'd be best at. She out sings the Sara Barrellis/Ingrid Michaelson collective but doesn't give the overall theatrics you'd associate with a Robyn or Katy Perry. She's very good though.

Check out a TV on the Radio concert. A rock band full of black people and a horn section full of whites. Join us in the 21st century, my friend.

As far as I’m concerned, she’s batting 1.000 in her albums. So I’m down.

Does that look like the face of a guy that could kill younglings?

I'll say this. Mrs. Taylor beats out Mrs. Cosby and Nancy Botwin for hottest TV mom.

He gave his good fortune carving to Padme but he couldn't save himself . . .

It always puts a smile on my face when Christian males argue that they are victims in the United States.

Kevin Hart and Tosh.O are two comics that I think are genuinely humorous as people. But their writing is consistently not funny.

Whether her attitude was tacked on or not, Katherine McPhee will never be a convincing victim. At least, not an underdog her audience will emotional pull for. She desperately needs a little edge. Because Ivy is getting all the sympathy points from me.

I'm an Idol apologist but I enjoyed this episode more than I wanted to. There's an urgency to the performances that comes through the TV. Maybe it is because it is March Madness season but why not have battles rounds straight through the finale, bracket style? The sports fan in me would watch.

I hope they find a way to get Tribbles somehow involved.

The Gummy Hamburger — I used to buy the New York Post but then I found a better use for my quarters.

I decided to give Mad Men a chance on my Netflix this weekend. And coincidentally Christina Hendrick's photos leaked. I was more of a Betty and Peggy person. But I guess I can see Joan's appeal.

I am a very casual SNL viewer. But stumbling upon Maya Rudolph's episode began to shift my perception of the show. Great guest appearances, original commentary, and diverse sketches had me going back to rewatch some clips.  Yesterday's episode was entirely unmemorable.

Hah, my fault. Although I'm pretty sure this whole article needs a big spoiler alert. Actually, this whole website needs a spoiler alert.

Okay, I agree. I didn't wish Daniel to die.  But considering who adds value to the narrative and tension of the show, Daniel is pretty much worthless. Whereas Tyler served as an effective foil for Emily. So if I had to choose one character to still be on the show, it'd be the medicated, sexually-ambiguous, smug con

In Revenge, did anyone really wish Tyler was the guy in the sand more than Daniel? No way.

Erika and Jermaine might as well double as Idol mansion camp counselors. Idol goes younger and younger every season but the top 13 looks more ready for Junior Prom than the Billboard charts.
