Having now completed the Newborn and Infant stages twice with single births, nothing strikes more fear in my heart than the idea of multiples. To those of you on that journey, I salute you.

4th: All the more reason to lead in EV innovation and capture worldwide market share. IE, sell more cars manufactured by the same labor force.

Exactly. I completely agree that people should be encouraged to switch to EVs when a new car is warranted, but this plan is disingenuous garbage if 4 times as much money isn’t also proposed to improve public transit, build bike lanes, and implement nation-wide high speed rail.

I say this as a climate hawk and proponent of EVs: accounting for emissions associated with the manufacture of a brand new car, a 10-year-old ICE has a far smaller carbon footprint than a brand new EV (or new car of any kind). Now, if this plan could pay for that EV crate engine conversion idea that’s floating around,

I picked up Bacci at Ikea for like $20 for my wedding. More than $20 worth of fun was had. Success!

That was nice. I enjoyed that. Thank you.

I worked at a place like this for years. It was a brewpub with good beer and fantastic atmosphere where you could linger and never feel rushed, but the food was spectacularly mediocre. To the point I silently judged people who proclaimed to love it. And not because I worked there and had become bored with it; I never

This. I recently returned a leased EV and have gone back to IC after 3 years. Buying gas is a moderate annoyance after getting used to just plugging in in my garage every night.

Not to mention the further losses accrued by either pressurizing it or cooling it for storage and transport.

Wake me up when I can buy them on Prime Video.

Oh, the DC charging only is a bad move. I get that they’re positioning themselves as a long drive off highway solution, but I make grocery decisions around town based on Level 2 charging access.

That’s better than the Supercharger network was 7 years ago, and much better than the Supercharger network when in its first year. I admit Electrify America is playing catch up, but they will absolutely catch up. Your AmEx analogy will hold true in another way too: Supercharger will be a niche standard while the vast

But if you have the pump anyway, why bother with the CO2?

Wait, really? (puts on old man hat)

Rowing machines are the most efficient use of time in the gym. If I can do just one thing, I row.

I tried CO2 for a while, but as you address at the end of the post, you need to carry a few to be sure you have enough, and then that negates the space savings over a micro pump. To each their own, but after I used up my two cartridges on a ride one day and still found myself stranded, I switched to a pump.

As the owner of an ebike that is in many ways more similar to an actual moped than a 49cc Vespa, but in no way similarly regulated, the absurdity and stupidity of it all is definitely not lost on me.

Oh, I don’t say anything. We all have our thing. The last thing I need is to open the floodgates and invite criticism of my annoying habits she’s politely not mentioning because she loves me.

“Why are you neglecting your children, fancy man-chef?”

Oh boy. I love my wife dearly and she has many many fine qualities, but she can not get the point of a story to save her life.
